Description |
643.09$ Monthly, Wifi and Hydro included. Priority consideration to fellow Queer folks, but open to consider others. Also open to consider temporary or short-term stay. This is a 10ft by 20ft Double-Bedroom. You will be sharing the apartment with three others; two transmen, one ciswoman, and three cats. Full disclosure: The reason this room is so cheap compared to market rates, is that we often deal with inconsistent landlords and "interesting" problems in the Hochelaga area. The room is sharing a wall with the next-door building's bathroom wall, and the soundproofing isn't great. The neighbors had a problematic tenant that also caused their building to have roaches, but that tenant is now being evicted and our landlord is hiring exterminators to deal with the pests. We've been able to keep the numbers down on our side and only see one roach every other week, but we're still working hard to ensure an actual outbreak doesn't migrate to our side. Please only consider applying for this room if you're willing to tolerate late night noise and challenges related to living in the Hochelaga sector. Myself and my two room mates have lived here in this apartment for over two years now and have adapted to the location in exchange for having such large-sized rooms at cheap rent. House features: - Next-door grocery store - Nearby Bike Path, gyms, park - Roomba, Steam mop, Steam-cleaner - In-apartment Washer & Dryer - Wifi - Nearby bus stops (34 and 125) - Maisonneuve Market - Bathroom Skylight, Shower, Bath - Balcony access - 420-tolerant so long as you smoke outside - Noise tolerant and late-night activity tolerant - Third floor privacy from the street-level. We're an introverted household so we don't do house parties or big social events. We all prefer to keep to ourselves for the most part, treating our large bedrooms as bachelor-studios that happen to share a kitchen and bathroom. We're at max-capacity for cats but might consider smaller animals. Feel free to reach out with questions. We're also open to turning the space into a workshop or work-studio. |
