| Je (Bernard) me cherche un.e coloc! Je suis chercheur et conseiller politique en changements climatiques, fan de vélos, food snob, musicien trad (flûte et mandoline). J'aime réparer mes bas de laine et regarder The West Wing pour la enième fois. J'haïs quand les gens remplacent pas le rouleau de papier de toilette et je juge celleux qui disent qu'iels n'ont pas d'opinion politique. Je donne des pas pires bons câlins. À propos de l'appart: - 900$/mois, tout inclus. Meublé (voir plus bas) - 2 chambres à coucher, meublé dans la Petite-Italie, à côté du marché Jean-Talon (la Quincaillerie Dante c'est le prochain coin de rue). - Stationnement dans la rue, plein de stationnement vélo, stations BIXI et métro ben ben proches (Beaubien, baby!) - Grosse baignoire, belle cuisine, des plantes partout, un perron en arrière pour les apéros, et de la lumière dans toutes! les! salles! Je suis encore en train de tout meubler et décorer, alors attends-toi à ben des projets cozy. - Animaux bienvenus! Les chiens et les chats sont permis. J'aimerais bien en avoir un bientôt mais en attendant je serais bien heureux de passer du temps avec le tien. - La chambre est moyenne-petite (10x10), avec une fenêtre face au nord et un placard avec pas pire de capacité. Je suis en train de la meubler, alors si t'as des préférences, tu peux me laisser savoir! Si tu veux apporter tes meubles, ça marche aussi. - Étant donné que c'est tout-inclus, je souhaiterais la bienvenue à quelqu'un de court terme (2-4 mois) plutôt qu'à long terme. On peut faire ça mois par mois. Si y'a une super belle affinité, on peut discuter. - C'est pas mal calme ici. Je pratique la flûte tous les jours mais toujours dans des heures raisonnables (c'est une vielle bâtisse, après tout.) J'adore accueillir mes ami.e.s pour souper et j'espère que toi aussi! - Bonus: ça serait super de coloquer avec quelqu'un qui aime partager sa bouffe, qui veut cuisiner et manger ensemble! Pas tous les soirs, genre, mais c'est le fun de connecter avec la bouffe. Allez les brunchs et les restants en commun! - Si tu travailles à distance et tu as besoin d'un espace dédié, c'est pas l'appart pour toi. - Date d'emménagement flexible. Idéalement ASAP, mais n'importe quand en mai marcherait. I'm a climate researcher and policy advocate, a cycling nut, a big ol' food snob, a trad musician. I like fixing socks with my darning loom and rewatching The West Wing for the dozenth time. I feel personally offended when someone doesn't replace the toilet paper after using and I judge folks who call themselves "apolitical". I give good hugs. A bit about the place: - $900/month, all included (incl. furniture, see below) - 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment in Little Italy, right next to the Jean-Talon market (Quincaillerie Dante's a stone's throw away). - On-street parking, plenty of bike parking, BIXI station and metro station extremely close by (Beaubien, baby!) - Big-ass bathtub, large and light-filled kitchen, plants everywhere, a cozy back porch for sunsets and apéros, light in every! single! room! I'm still in the process of setting it all up, so expect even more effort put into making this the coziest possible nest. - Pets are welcome! Dogs and cats allowed. I'm hoping to get a pet sometime but would love to welcome someone else's for a bit. - The room is smaller (10'x10'), with a North-facing window and a roomy and surprisingly tall closet. I'm still in the process of furnishing it, so if you have specific preferences, you get to have a say in the furniture without paying the price! Amazing. You can also bring your own furniture if that's important to you. - Because this is a furnished situation, I'd welcome someone staying for a shorter period (2-4 months) rather than someone nesting full-time. Month-to-month works for the right person. Talking about longer works once we've gotten to know each other. - Things are relatively peaceful around here. I play the flute and will practice a little while every day, but since it's an old building with thin floors, I'm careful about not bothering folks while they're in quiet time. I love having folks over for dinner and coming home to folks being over for dinner! - Bonus: it'd be great to live with someone who wants to share food and cook and eat together! I'm not saying every night, but I love showing care through sharing food. Let's have brunch and keep leftovers for each other in the fridge. - If you work remotely and need a dedicated workspace, this might not be the best fit. - Move in timing flexible: ideally ASAP, but sometime in May would be great.
