| Note: This is only a short-term rental for the month of February and March, that could possibly be extended, depending upon the situation. Hello, There’s a furnished room available for rent in a two-bedroom apartment on a monthly basis. I’m looking to rent the vacant room to a mature student or a working professional. It’s a 1,218 sqft size apartment with in-suite laundry and two washrooms, so it’s a very big space, compared to the regular two-bedroom apartments in PEI. It’s a new building in West Royalty, Charlottetown, and even has an elevator so you don’t have to take the stairs up and down. The tenant will have their own private washroom. The only shared spaces are the kitchen and the living room. The rent for the room is $857 per month, plus the utilities, which usually add up to around $1,000 or more depending upon the usage. Or if you prefer, you can pay $1000 rent, which includes Electricity, Heating, Hot water, Wi-Fi, and washer/dryer use once a week. Here is a breakdown of the monthly utility expenses and the total rent of the whole apartment, if it helps get a better idea of the amounts. Rent for the whole apartment = $1,714 fixed. Internet/Bell Aliant = $96.60 fixed. Electricity (Includes Heat and Hot Water) = Average $200. Fluctuates upon usage. Total = $2,000 approximately each month for the whole apartment. A few dollars higher or lower depending upon the electricity usage. So $1,000 means everything is basically going to be split in half, no profits or greed business here. No smoking, alcohol, or pets are permitted in the apartment. There is a bus stop within a few minutes of walking distance from the building. Rent will be on a month-to-month basis, paid in advance on the 1st of each month. One month's security deposit is also required, which will be returned of course with no damages made to the property.
