Unit: private bedroom (furnished) for rent in shared house Move in date: flexible move in, short term stays (4-8 months) Price: $995/month (hydro & gas included) Not included: $40/month for internet Location: Bloor & Dufferin Rental Terms: Off-lease roommate. Rent would be paid to me. There will be a written roommate agreement. This is not covered by the RTA. Relationship to the unit: Current tenant seeking roommate Rent Control: Rent increases for this unit are capped at the annual provincial guideline because this unit was lived in before November 15, 2018. Required documents: Proof of income, past roommate references (or landlord), last month’s rent deposit Additional information: I am looking for a short-term roommate to take a small/medium bedroom at Bloor & Dufferin for 4-8 months. Flexible move in date. The room is furnished with desk, chair and double bed. The house is a 5-minute walk to Dufferin Station, 20-minute subway ride to University of Toronto, 25 minutes to Toronto Metropolitan University and 60 minutes to York University. Groceries, restaurants and parks nearby. The apartment spans the top 2 floors of a house. The room is about 9x12 feet or 110 square feet (including large closet). It is located on the second floor. There is a shared living room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The front porch is an outdoor space available for our use. There is no laundry on site, but there is a laundromat close by. I have two cheerful bird companions (sorry no cats or dogs permitted). I am 41, genderqueer and looking to live with folks who are women or queer. I work from home as a registered psychotherapist and professional astrologer. I’m also currently in school, studying neuroscience and psychology. I am looking for someone who values a quiet atmosphere. I am noise sensitive, so using headphones around the house is appreciated. There is a third bedroom that I’m currently using for personal purposes and rent out to a commuter friend for a night or two here and there. I hope to have a friendly, mutually respectful but independent relationship with a roommate. I might have 1 or 2 friends over once every 2 weeks, maybe more often if I have a partner. I’d prefer to live with someone who is on a similar page, not looking to host groups of people regularly. Giving a heads up before having people over is appreciated and reciprocal. |
