Now, three women rent separate rooms in the apartment, and single women often rent in the apartment building. We will not often check who enters or sleeps in the room, but there will be just one official tenant. The bedroom in most bedroom photos must be rented starting May 1. The bedroom photo marked June 1 though, is a slightly larger bedroom next to it, that includes a deck- it can be rented starting June 1, but please, DON'T INQUIRE if you cannot move May 1. So, you can choose to continue renting the May 1 room for $650, OR move to the June 1 room on June 1 and pay an extra $40 monthly. It is a private and lockable 3rd floor room in a 4-bedroom apartment in a quiet apartment building, on Gerrard St East, a block west of Victoria Park Ave. Gerrard St East is the first major street south of Danforth Ave. It is in southeast Toronto, near Scarborough, and not far from The Beaches: close to supermarkets and other amenities. Victoria Park subway station is a 10 minute walk away, so catching the bus to it is often not needed. Also near the building's door is a bus stop to reach Main Street subway station. Either way: 25 more minutes from subway to downtown. Danforth Go Train Station is close and fast too: 15 minutes to Union Station downtown. It is 8'x11' plus a 2'x8' closet. The bathroom, kitchen, washroom and gym/storage area are shared with a young woman in the next room, and 2 more roommates on lower floors. It is farther from the street than other rooms, and so is farther from any street noise. The apartment is on the 2nd and 3rd floors and has 5 levels, so walking up and down short flights of stairs is necessary. Deposit of your last month of rent secures the room and May's rent is due May 1. The rent includes electricity, heat, Wi-Fi, and parking. Laundry is in the basement: $1.75 wash, $1.25 dry. A fob and key deposit of $95 is returnable. Basic optional furnishings, including mattresses are provided. If you don't have your own a/c window unit, one can be provided with no additional cost. The building has no central a/c. No annoying pets allowed. No smoking in common areas. Visits occur in the pm. Videos of the room and shared areas are available.
