There are pot lights and custom lighting everywhere, and real wood blinds on the windows. Large bathroom on second floor with laundry closet and brand new front loading machines; custom storage everywhere. Main floor kitchen/living/dining area has a sliding glass door to Juliette balcony. Kitchen has huge pantry and additional storage cupboards under the stairs. There are cupboards *everywhere*! All stainless steel appliances. Microwave included. Third floor is a stunning master bedroom suite with two large arched windows, window seats and custom cupboards; a walk in closet and a huge bathroom – the standing shower has two faucets and two shower heads, so you can shower with a friend more easily. And YES, that is indeed a sauna! The last tenants were there for years so the place needs some attention… renovations are underway! The entire place will be painted, we’ll be replacing the carpeting on the stairs, and all the bathrooms will get new sink and shower faucets. So, if you can use a little imagination, come for the tour. Private, socially distant viewings by appointment only, but I live in the building and am flexible. South Beach Marina Townhomes is located on Stadium Road, a dead end street with the lake to the south and to the west. It’s very quiet; this is a great place for working at home, and also for being able to maintain social distancing when you go outside. Your front door leads to the outside; there are no hallways, no elevators, no lobby; no common areas at all, other than the garage. Our “front yard” and “back yard” are parks; the west side is a large boardwalk (not actually boards) along the marina. More parks are just around the corner, including an off-leash dog park in Coronation Park, and Little Norway Park one block east. Fort York is just to the north; you can actually walk all the way to Queen Street in green space. If you’re a cyclist, the 30km Martin Goodman Trail runs right by our building. Also in the neighbourhood: The Bentway, the new Loblaws/Joe Fresh/Shoppers at the corner of Bathurst and Lakeshore; there’s also an LCBO right under the highway. Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Subway, Nav’s Indian Grocery, Guirei Sushi. Along Queen’s Quay to the east you’ll find Amsterdam Brewery, Harbourfront, and the ferries to the islands. Just north on Bathurst is Stackt Market. A little to the north and east are the bars and restaurants of CityPlace, the Skydome, CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, and the Steamwhistle Roundhouse and beer garden. |
