Location: The Junction (West Toronto, near Dundas West and Keele intersection) Lease terms: Start date: August 1; month-to-month, for 3 months; we'll see where we go from there as there are other rooms that may be available then! To be discussed with homeowner. Your Space: Room dimensions: 18’x14’ – so very large and cozy with direct sunlight coming from the door, exit to the garden, with double-sized bed, closet, dresser(s), night table(s), desk, desk chair, reading lamp, mirrors, bookshelf, filing cabinet, rocking chair, chair for clothes, ottoman, TV stand, carpets. For one person only. You have your own bathroom as well. Although just the bedroom and bathroom are in the basement, the rest of the common spaces are at ground floor and 2nd floor levels that you obviously have full access to. Housemates: This is a quiet house, even though we are between four and five friendly and respectful young professionals spread out on 3 floors. Sometimes we don’t know if others are home! We look for a clean, healthy, kind, considerate, ethical, and respectful environment, doing things together, but are very flexible for those who need extra quiet time. We all have different nationalities, and try to keep it this way! Great if you want to practice a language . The vibe here is ideal. Additional Information: Location is everything- and space, and light! European-colonial-style like home with lots of plants to make it extra cozy, yet spacious and bright, around 2000 sqf (huge space) with high ceilings in a very quiet street in a top urban location with infinite local amenities and restaurants, seconds to 4 buses and main streets, 14-min walk from Keele subway station (or 4min by bus, with 3 bus options to take you there), as well as the Go Train and Up Express. Types of amenities (endless!): Gyms, 7 grocery stores including Walmart, NoFrills, Freshco, Nations superstore, 3 convenient stores, Metro, Organic Garage, Sweet Potato (organic stores), Shoppers, 3 Dollar stores, LCBO, BestBuy, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, the Stockyards Mall with HomeSense + Marshalls +Winners, multiple restaurants, Chica’s Chicken (!!!), pottery classes, music, canvas painting events, antique stores, thrift stores, décor stores, etc… and High Park, with its beach you can walk to (with sailing school…). Two full bathrooms (one 4Pc and one in basement) and a 2PC room on ground floor. There are 2 living rooms that allow us to chill in different areas if we want to (extra ‘movie theater’ room). The house comes with everything you’ll need - from plates to pots and pans to a French press and a waffle maker (and a pasta machine, etc...). Perks: very wide garden behind the house with a ton of sunlight all day, a deck, barbecue, garden set and parasols. Lots of storage space in the big basement and shed if needed (a bit extra depending on needs). Rhubarb, arugula, apples, apricots, grapes, and a few cherries (lol) grow every year. Kitchen and family room extension, so loft-like feel at back of the house (unique feature – must see). No more cooped-up feeling in far smaller homes or condos!
