| Shared accommodations on working goat farm. Owner occupied. Furnished bedroom with private ensuite at SunnyFarm. $1,000 monthly for single occupancy. We operate a 79-acre goat farm near Portland, ON, adjacent to the Cataraqui Trail, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail. We produce grass-fed beef and artisanal hard cheese from goat's milk and are expecting more baby goats this spring which means cheesemaking will resume by June. The main level bedroom is fully furnished with a double bed, bed linen, small fridge /freezer and private ensuite bathroom. In short, you need nothing but your personal belongings. Open to short and longer term stays. Shared space includes the living room, kitchen, laundry and wrap-around porch. High speed internet, central air, utilities, kitchenware, BBQ and outdoor parking also included. An extra monthly hydro fee is required for EV usage. Heat is provided by forced air propane and an airtight woodstove in the basement. A bi-monthly cleaning service is provided for an additional fee of $100. If you love fresh farm produce, there is ample space to grow your own veggies in our large "community" garden. We have two very friendly dogs and three cats so if you don’t love indoor pets, best not apply. If you are looking for clean accommodations in a fabulous rural setting, 5 minutes to Rideau Lakes and 20 minutes to the nearest town, you will not be disappointed. There is tons of wildlife and friendly goats to see. First and Last month rent and references are required. Happy to provide references from former guests.
