I am a current tenant living in the house posting on behalf of the landlord. 1 private (no couples) Room on main floor for rent in a shared 4 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house. $650 a month, utilities & internet included. First and last months rent required. AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY. • Located near Simcoe and Taunton • 6 Minute Walk from the 901 Simcoe bus and 905 bus route • 12 Minute walk to Durham College campus & Ontario Tech University • 1 parking space available in driveway Fully functional kitchen with a dishwasher and shared washer and dryer in house. You will need to provide your own kitchen items as we all have our own separate stuff. The shared Living room and dining room will be furnished by the owner. Shared washrooms. We also have access to a large front porch and large backyard with deck. Room will come furnished with a bed frame and brand new mattress. (No other bedroom furniture provided) Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the house and no pets. No long-term guests. The 3 above rules were set by the landlord. We are hoping to find someone who fits with our lifestyles. You will be sharing the house with 4 other people as the den will be soon rented out. Currently there is a female 21, with a 1 year old baby who is home during the day, a male, 35 working and not home most days, and me, female 29 and working from home. I will be home most days, but I do frequently spend time out of the house. Ideally, we are looking for women but will consider males who fit a similar lifestyle. Someone who is mindful of keeping shared areas clean and aren’t excessively loud, especially in the evenings and nights as there are working individuals. I work from home, so having a generally quiet environment during the day is necessary. Obviously normal noises are to be expected such as cooking, etc. The home would be well suited for someone who is a student and needs a quieter environment to study, working professionals, and people who work from home. Individuals on assistance are welcome as well so long as your lifestyle generally meshes well with ours. Please note the house has stairs to the front door and stairs to the upstairs where the bedrooms and the shared full bathroom is. Also an ideal rental for someone who is looking to rent long term, but not a requirement. You must partake in household cleaning. The house is large, and we will all be cleaning parts of the shared areas at minimum once a week, and with 5 people things can get dirty fast. Seriously! We Don’t want to harass you to help clean. Lease will be month to month between you and the landlord and not a sublease. If you choose to proceed with renting the room, the required documents needed are proof of income and credit check. |
