Description
Hi, I am Timothy (江天), I am looking for an UNFURNISHED room just for myself alone on the upper floor of a house with big windows facing west and a private bathroom with a bathtub. I also need a parking space for my small Honda Civic. I have a single bed, a folding 6' desk, a 3' x 2' dining table, a CRT TV set, a microwave oven and many apple boxes. I also have 3 mini-refrigerators (20" x 20" x 36") which are 5 star energy saver, I need to have them in my room for convenience. So I need a room at least 12' x 12' in size. Preferred locations : Within these boundaries: Hurontario to the east, Creditview to the west, Eglinton to the north, Dundas to the south. But my favorite area is in the vicinity of the woods in Richard Jones Park or Deer Run Park but far away from the railroad track. Lease term: Long term. Move in date: August 1 If available please send me photos of room, bathroom, bathtub and kitchen, also address and rent expectation to: [email removed] . . . . . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following is a brief information for prospective home owner who has a room that matches my search criterIa. If you don't have one or you cannot help me to find one, you don't need to read it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . About my income, my family background, my education, my career, my past residence, my cooking habit and my lifestyle: , . . My income I have steady and secured income. Income statement is available on demand. I will never lose my job and unable to pay my rent. I also have an Equifax credit score of 802 which is rated as excellent. . . . My family background After the communists took over China in 1949, there was a massive exodus from the mainland to Hong Kong. At age 2, I was separated from my mother and 3 older brothers when my mother requested a woman to carry my sister and I to join my father in Hong Kong. We lived in a 2-story, 20-rooms rental house built by my uncle in the 1950's huddling along the hill side in the most impoverished slum in Kowloon, similar to the slum in Brazil. We occupied 3 bedrooms and an open living room, there was no electricity and no running tap water, but there were water taps in the streets. We used kerosene lamp and kerosene stove, we paid water carrier and stored water in a water tank. Being close to Nature gave me an opportunity to explore what Nature has to offer and to make friends with kids in the neighbourhood. At age 7, under the influence of other kids, I built ear plug ham radio, I also installed electric light in my bedroom and in the living room using 3V AA batteries, 3V light bulbs and electrical switches. The hobbies seeded my creativity and pathed my way to future career involving electrical. During the Cultural Revolution in the 1960's, two of my brothers escaped to Hong Kong and briefly stayed with us. When I was 16, my father immigrated to Canada with only me as my siblings did not want to come. I never asked my father why my mother did not migrate to Hong Kong along with us during the exodus, but intuition gave me the answer, based on the bitter and resentful accusation from my maternal aunt and from my brothers about my father's violent and unpredictable temper and lack of provision and indifference for the family. Marred by my traumatic and painful childhood experience, I decided not to have a family when I grow up but strive and enjoy my life in my own way. I need to vent my agony and frustration and tell the world the evil of communism. I am grateful to Canada for giving me a new life. Now the economy has recovered from the pandemic and stock prices are rising, if I will make a fortune and own a condo, the Canadian government will succeed all my estate to pay off part of Canada's debts as I still own tons of stocks with tenbagger potential. Seasons in the sun - A description of my traumatic childhood https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkexQY9yItI . . . My education: I attended high school in Vancouver for 2 years before moving to Toronto. I grew up as a teenager in downtown Toronto, attended Grade 13 and graduated from University of Toronto with a degree in Electrical Engineering. My Thesis on "Magnetic levitation of vehicle" scored 85% from Gordon Richard Slemon, a professor tutoring in the Power System course, he was also the Dean of Electrical Engineering at University of Toronto. . . . My career: After my graduation from U of T, I started my first job as an electronic technician at Motorola. I liked the practical, interesting hands-on job rather than engineering job which mainly deals with paper work and is boring and unsecure. Then I joined the current company 2 years later, it is a big electronic company in the aerospace industry with headoffice based in California. I retired from the company after 31 years of service. My starting salary at the time of hiring was $167 per week, my salary at retirement was $1,044 per week (I have paid nearly $1/2 million income tax in my working life). As a electronic technician, my job involved testing and troubleshooting analog/digital printed circuit boards in the Inertial Navigation Unit (INU) for commercial airplanes and military aircrafts. Most of the PCB in Air Canada's airplanes and some of the PCB in military aircrafts and US Navy ships were tested to strict specifications, troubleshot and fixed by me. I collaborated with liason engineers in implementing changes in test procedure and resolving problems in circuit design. During the economic downturn in the late 1980 recession, in response to the management's urge to reduce operating cost, I volunteed to monitor production defects on daily basis using SPC charts and Excel spread sheet, over the subsequent 2 years, defect rate had declined significantly, thus reducing retest cost, rework cost and material cost. I was well liked by my co-workers and by my supervisor, they said I am diligent, devoted and responsible, some said I am the "heart and soul" of the company. They said I am cute and they, including my boss, called me Timmy. Here is a funny anecdote: While eating my favorite homemade chicken and rice during lunch time, my co-workers said: "My goodness, you eat all that? It feeds my whole family!" Guess what were the dinner entries in the company's 25th year anniversary party in Harbour Castle Hilton Hotel at the Toronto harbourfront? Salmon stake or baked chicken and rice ! . . . My past and current residence I sold my 8-year old condo in downtown Toronto and moved to Mississauga for cleaner air and less traffic congestion. I regret I did not buy a condo with the $400K I made in the stock market after moving to Mississauga as I was not sure I wanted to stay permanently, so I leased one instead. For the past 10 years, I have been living in a leased condo in the Square One area but I have moved out of it as my landlord wanted to reoccupy the unit for family use while condo living has become unaffordable. I am currently living in a room in a house for short term lease as my current landlord will be moving to US later this year for a few years and plans to rent the whole house out to just one family through a property management corporation, they are searching for a property management. Both of my landlords said I am the best tenant ever, as I helped them fixing problems in their condo / house and kept it in good shape. Reference is available. I don't smoke, I have no visitors. I am considerate, quiet, neat, tidy and well organized, I always keep my home clean and the hardwood floor dust free. I like a sunny room with big windows as sunlight is important to me, it turns cholesterol into vitamin D and important hormones. I like a bright, clear and uncongested bathroom with a sparkling clean bathtub, I believe scrubbing my body with small quantity of recycled water in the tub is more energy efficient then continuous flow of clean water down the drain in a standing shower, it also makes my body squeaky clean like a dish. . . . My cooking habit I do very little cooking, I eat the same meals everyday: Oatmeal in the morning and chicken and rice in the early afternoon, all is done in a rice cooker, my supper is finished long before others starting cooking their dinner so I will not cause traffic congestion in the kitchen. Most of the time I am invisible to others. . . . My lifestyle This is my daily routine: Internet research on various topics, playing the stock market, listening to music on very low volume, watching my collection of movies and films from the projector, posting music videos in Youtube for passing time, exercising and jogging in the woods to keep my health in good shape. Despite of my age, most people think I am in my 40's and I do feel, talk and act if I am so. I hope I will have a benign, empathetic and flexible landlord to enhence my livelihood and to make me feeling that there is no place like home as I am the youngest and the only survivor in my family and with former co-worker friends disappeared, I am a loner with no relatives or friends in Canada. I am contriving not only where I should live but also how I should live in the next 10 to 25 years of my life. . . .
