| Subletting my south-facing bachelor apartment in Centretown, Ottawa. Sublet period: 12 months. Starting: November 15 (date TBC) Asking for first and last month's rent. Postdated cheques or e-transfer is fine. Price includes monthly hydro and Internet. I can cancel both the hydro and Internet if you prefer to set up your own for the year, and adjust the price. Amazing central location with Farmboy and pharmacy on the same block, steps from Elgin St and Bank St, a few blocks south of Parliament. The unit is semi-furnished. We can discuss if you do not want certain items. Not all furniture in the photos will stay. Planning to leave: bed frame, mattress, kitchen table and chairs, couch, curtains (not blackout), A/C unit. No parking spot available. Communal washing machines and dryer in building, operated by coinomatic (phone-operated). Fair warning that this building is old and poorly maintained. The stove, fridge, hardwood floors and paint is in good condition. The rest is in poorer condition (water damage in bathroom ceiling, peeling bathroom paint, old vinyl floors, old counters). There is also a cockroach issue in the building. I have asked to have my unit sprayed asap. This worked well last winter but it requires ongoing maintenance (roach traps/gels). I am looking for someone who is content accepting the above issues for the affordability and location. Front desk is staffed daytime hours 7 days a week. |
