Description
I am looking for a female roommate in this adorable little 2 bedroom/1 bathroom house in the Guelph Junction neighbourhood! The bedroom for rent is $1200/mo and is available October 1 (flexible)! About the house: The house is a 15-minute walk from downtown and 30 minute walk from U of G. It's nearby to the river, a brewery, a few coffeeshops, and the farmer's market! There is central A/C and heating, hardwood floors throughout, stainless steel kitchen appliances, in-house laundry, a shower + tub, and a lovely patio and backyard. You will have a private bedroom and access to a shared bathroom. The bedroom for rent is not furnished, but the rest of the house is (see photos). There is a legal unit below with its own entrance. Outdoor spaces are continuous and shared. There is free street parking available year-round. Bills are not included in rent and usually run ~$80 per person in the summer and ~$130 per person in the winter (power, water, wifi). About me: I'm a 30 year old queer biologist and I live in this lovely home with my playful and affectionate indoor-only cat, Fox. I work at U of G and am in the office most days. Outside work hours, I love to cook, work on projects around the house, and get out into nature whenever possible -- running, climbing, birdwatching, etc. About you: I am looking for a responsible and conscientious female roommate who will contribute to a friendly vibe in the house. I like to live with people who are proactive with keeping things tidy, aware of boundaries, and good with direct communication. I'd like it if we both have space to do things we love out in the shared areas, as well as quiet and privacy when needed. Late stage graduate students or young professionals are preferred. Finally, Fox is a real presence in the house -- if you don't like cats, or are allergic, this isn't the place for you. He's also happiest as an only child, so I unfortunately can't accommodate additional cats.
