| Welcome to 3-115 Portland Street! With my current roommate leaving to return home, I am in search of someone to take over their portion of the rent. Preferably for July, but if you're a student attending NSCC in September, I'm sure we can work something out. It's an old apartment, but the location is incredible! 115 Portland is within easy walking distance of the ferry, Alderney Landing (market, library), bus stops on Portland Street and Alderney Drive, restaurants/shops, banks, Lawton's, dental and physio offices, and other attractions and amenities. NSCC Ivany campus and Dartmouth General aren't far either - a few minutes by car or bus, 30-35 minutes along the waterfront walking/biking trail. The apartment itself has a fridge, stove/oven, a full bathroom, clothing washer and dryer in-unit. I have a rice cooker, and a Keurig machine (I don't drink coffee, but if you do, you're welcome to use it). I've also got a couch in the living room along with some tables and things I brought from home. Rent is currently $1950/month, going to $2025/month in September. Wi-fi (Eastlink), tenants' insurance (TD) and electricity are extra. I pay the rental company, Eastlink, and TD, in full, and you pay me half. My current roommate has 2 cats. They will be leaving when she does. I do not want any cats here in the future, as I am allergic to and do not get along well with cats. Dogs and other pets are not allowed per the rules laid out by the rental company in the lease. Now a bit about me! I am a quiet, clean, single 31-year-old male professional. I am a library technician with Nova Scotia Health at their location in Woodside. I enjoy reading, writing, listening to and making music, camping, hiking, kayaking, golf, cooking, video games, movies/TV, history, and science fiction/fantasy. I am very introverted, so I spend a lot of time by myself. I do enjoy the company of others from time to time, so don't be afraid to talk to me :) Being on the Autism Spectrum, I adhere to a strict morning and bedtime routine. Please be respectful of this, as I do not do well if it is interrupted. We can sort out a morning bathroom schedule if need-be (no I'm not Sheldon Cooper, lol). And now, what I'm looking for in a roommate. You are a quiet, young, clean working professional or a student attending NSCC in the Fall, preferably between 25 and 35 (I am flexible though, so if you're outside that range, no worries). Male, female, other. I am straight, but LGBTQIA+ friendly, so if you are of that community, you are welcome. Newcomers to Canada are welcome. If you're a nerd and enjoy the outdoors, we'll get along great! Lastly, please, please, PLEASE, do not be a smoker (cigarettes or weed). I am sensitive to certain smells and find the smell of marijuana and cigarettes to be some of the worst and I will make it known if I smell it. No drug habits either.
