| Get out of the rat race and live a quiet life with a friendly, supportive family of 2. The room is fully furnished, with hardwood floors, 2 windows, 2 closets, ceiling fan, a queen bed, bed table, desk, and shelving. Enjoy wifi, Netflix, Amazon TV, gardens, and private yard in a small town, surrounded by nature. There is a shared bathroom just outside your door. The position is to help a single mother / entrepreneur (me!) manage a large home with an adult son on the spectrum (high functioning, gentle, helpful, and stable). We have 3 small, non-shedding dogs. The position will include deep cleaning the kitchen plus one room per day, maintaining the floors, doing laundry (a load a day 3 -4 days/ week), letting the dogs out as needed/ when I work, preparing supper 5 nights/ week (instruction/ lessons provided), and providing respite one weekend per month. I will pay if you are able to provide 2 extended periods of respite of up to 2 weeks each (so I can have a short vaca) per year. Most of the work is house work with only supervising of my son if I am away. There is a handyman tenant in the basement apartment who can also help if there were any emergency. We eat low-carb, gluten-free Paleo diet, grow many of our own organic veg, and will have 5 chickens by the end of summer. You will be expected to help with that on occasion (harvest time putting up food for winter/ when I'm away). It's a low key, quiet home and very holistic. Looking for person who enjoys this sort of lifestyle and is mature enough to make a commitment. I will provide the furnished room, utilities, and 3 meals / day. Note that bedroom has been painted off white now. I can provide character references and expect the same.
