| Hello! I am a single mom to a wonderful, and quiet 8 year old and have been struggling with finding a place I can afford. I have been homeless for a long time now due to the housing crisis and it’s making it hard to find employment. I could easily find a new work from home job though as soon as I move in it’s just not working out finding a job in person. I make a total of $999 per month so if utilities were included I could pay up to that amount, if not, up to $800 to ensure utilities are paid in full. I don’t mind skipping out on other things if needed in order to make rent, I’ve been known to be quite resilient and I’m always able to figure something out. I’m not picky on the place as long as it is safe for my child. It could be anything really from a bachelor to a 2 bedroom (but atleast one bedroom would be preferred) and anywhere in Saint John is fine with me (although again, just a preference, but I do like North End to be close to my daughters school). I would also hope that the place is Cat friendly just because I would like to look into getting a kitten in the near future after settling in but again I can work around it. I intend to get a work from home job within weeks of moving into a new place, and I do have the damage deposit and first months rent, plus first few months of utilities already covered plus some savings. I’ve struggled to find a place because some companies have a minimum amount for monthly income, and some don’t allow kids, and I’ve really overall just have had a hard time getting a message back.
