| Please read entire paragraph. Basement bedroom for rent. Not luxurious, but it does have a lot of space, about the space of a bedroom and a small living room. It also includes exclusive access to the basement bathroom and a basement kitchenet that includes a small fridge, sink, two-element stove, microwave and an air fryer. The bathroom and kitchenet would be for the use of the renter, no one else in the house uses them. Bathroom has a bath with shower with a detachable, microphone style nozzle. Bedroom contains basic furniture - single bed, small dresser, clothes rack, a settee and dining table with some chairs. These items are basic as unfortunately we have had thefts and damage. Any sign of theft will be grounds for immediate removal. House has a cat who likes to visit the basement, whether or not she has access to the room will be up to the renter, though someone who likes cats is preferred. There are also a washer and dryer in the basement and renter may wash their own items. They may not wash their friends' items. We are looking for someone who is quiet, polite and respectful, preferably a student. We do not welcome people who steal or who will try to have parties in the room. We reserve to right to vet renters as the room is part of the house. A criminal background check may be required. Please be drug-free. If you quietly drink on your own, that is your business as long as it does not become our problem. Renter does not have yard privileges. If renter has friends over we reserve the right to be informed for security purposes. No sleepovers. No altering items ie no taking screen off windows for access. There is a small storage room located in the basement where some boxes may be kept. If you have large furniture or items that do not fit comfortably in your room, these will have to go to a rented storage locker, we do not have space. Non-smoker preferred, there is no smoking on premises and we do not want someone who will be in and out constantly going on smoke breaks. Renter is not given access to the rest of the house. Access to the room is through the back porch and a door leading to the basement. House is located close to downtown, Corydon Village, Osborne Village. Rent is $580 with a security/damage deposit the first month of half that amount. We will not accept offers to do work for it or any other kind of bartering. |
