| Available August 1. -- Rent is $800 (which includes all utilities and high speed Internet). -- Pet and pot friendly. Cigarette smoking is allowed in the yard. -- Male or Female --it's a month-to-month rental, but ideally I'm looking for someone to stay 1-year or more. I have a long-held lease (thus the cheap price) for a 4-bedroom flat within a small, walk-up building. It's old, and it tilts, but I completely painted and renovated the flat last year. We have a sunny kitchen, and a large living room. You get a room (your private space with a locked door), and share the common areas. The yard is insanely big, and my garden is (ahem) gorgeous. You have access to a large propane BBQ, and we throw some great garden parties with our neighbours upstairs. We're a very international building. Our neighbours are a German, Swiss, Mexican, and Aussie. All great people. I'm a 54, male, Canadian (ex-journalist, UN official), and I live with a 30, male, Mexican IT wizard, and a 30ish male from Ghana who is studying for his MBA at UBC. We are losing our South African (female), engineer who got an awesome job and now is leaving for her own apartment. We are 2 blocks away from the Commercial/Broadway Skytrain station, 2 steps away from a downtown bus stop. Everything (groceries to laundry) is within walking distance. I am looking for someone who is quiet, and enjoys a quiet living space. You clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom. You pay your rent on time. I haven't had an argument with a roommate in 2 years. I enjoy a drama-free life. If you do as well, write me a note and tell me about yourself and how long you want to stay.
