| Yes, the ad is real. And yes, the rent is affordable. It's a great place to live if you are a QUIET male who can pay rent on time. It's a 4-bedroom flat near the Commercial/Broadway station. There's a Safeway, local produce stores, cheap sushi, and a park across the street. Aside from the traffic noise from Clark Street, it's a great location. The flat is located in the middle of a three-storey walk-up. Full of international students, and young professionals. A few old farts. The yard is insanely big, with a gorgeous garden, and includes a free-to-use propane BBQ, and is ideal for garden parties. I'm a 53 year old male (a former journalist). I live with a (25) Mexican student studying computer programming, and a (21) French army reservist who is spending a few years working/living in Canada. Both are quiet, reliable, and friendly. The three of us get along extremely well. We are looking for a fourth (men only). The room is small, but will be freshly painted and renovated. The entire flat is clean and tidy with a large living room and decent kitchen, We are pest free (except a few mice in the winter). Rent for the flat is split evenly between the four of us at $470.00/month. This includes everything--rent, all utilities, high-speed internet and a small amount every month for toilet paper, lightbulbs, and cleaning supplies. Damage deposit is $400.00. I hold the lease, and you will be signing a room rental contract with me. Please note: ONLY those who can meet in-person at the flat will get a response.
