| Available now or later in the month is a furnished room in an Awesome shared cozy, warm, tidy and beautiful character house in Kerrisdale (built in 1928). The whole house is shared space. Please read the whole ad before responding. Mostly it is quiet, mature international students in their early 20's living here. Joining this house gives you an instant set of friends and activity companions when there is time between studying. At times the house seems totally empty and all yours, at other times up to eight people are enjoying the space. This place is perfect for someone from out of town who arrives with just a couple of suitcases. Everything you might need is here. We will be looking for someone who fits in well with the rest of the mostly undergrad UBC students and internationals who are tidy, calm, considerate, easy to get along with, positive and social. This is a great place for UBC students, or internationals on a student or working visa. Its a place for those who are looking for a more refined, quiet, tidy living environment where all household items are already present. This is a place you can call home and feels like home. This is a quiet house, not a party house and not a house for gatherings but your guests are welcome. Heat and electricity bills are divided up each month between all roommates. That can range from $20 a month to $40 a month depending on the season. Internet is included. We are very close to bus routes: UBC is 15 minutes on the 41 bus. Downtown is 20 minutes on the 22 bus. Kitsilano and beaches are 10 - 15 minutes on the 22 bus. Bike routes and cycling trails are near-by too. (in good weather) - Awesome, considerate and interesting roommates ( UBC students) .... we share the whole house - Quiet safe atmosphere to study and live - Beautiful, quiet street; lined with huge trees - Nice, well-kept yard with a variety of trees and flowers - Close to shopping in Kerrisdale (3 blocks away) restaurants, London Drugs, Shoppers, Banks, - close to many Coffee shops, produce stores, etc. - Close to "Safe-On_Foods" grocery store (3 blocks away) - Lots of street parking - Two of us have cat allergies but a small, tidy dog might be considered. - Sheets, blankets, towels, and pillows are supplied. -There is no storage space but bikes can go in the back shed. -There is not enough room for a couple. -There is a mix of men and women here ... mostly UBC students. -At times 7 people are sharing one bathroom but it seems that it's seldom a problem. There is an extra sink downstairs too. -This is a quiet, drug-free house, not a party house and not a house for gatherings. -We will be looking for someone who fits in well with the rest of us here ... tidy, calm, considerate, easy to get along with, social and positive. -There is lots of parking on the street. -The house and rooms are furnished. There is no room for extra furniture or decorations. We are three blocks away from Southlands where there are horses on almost every property and a couple of blocks from shops, restaurants, and groceries. Vancouver is expensive to live, this is a super nice and tidy place and is reasonably priced but it is priced appropriately. If you are looking for a deluxe place, expect to be paying a lot more. Kerrisdale is quieter than many other parts of the city with more trees, larger properties, fewer people and more room yet it is very quick to get downtown, to the beach or to UBC. We are three blocks away from Southlands where there are horses on almost every property and a couple of blocks from shops, restaurants, and groceries. |
