| I am looking to share a house that is located in the SE community of Acadia. This is in an older home, but there's lots of space to share. Rear alley garage parking is possible - but street parking is also available, a plug-in is available during winter months. Access to transit is a few blocks away. I am looking for a non-smoking, non-drinking person A pet MAY be considered - depending on type, size and demeaner. Shared common area (including kitchen, laundry, living room). Sleeping area; there is the choice of a larger basement room, or a smaller room on the main floor. The area has storage for cloths and other personal items. Food and other sundries are NOT included in the monthly payment - the roommate will be responsible for their own personal needs. Disabilities are not a problem - but there is no way to provide wheel-chair access. The monthly cost for the roommate to share the whole house is $1000 and covers all of the utilities and services that you will have access to. I will consider a slightly lower amount for the initial 3 months - I just want to get the right person in here! There is simple list of rules-of-the-house, and if followed.... I know that we can get along. If you accept responsibility for cleanliness of the shared living space- the rules are simple and straight forward and easy-to-follow. I do like a place that is neat, clean and organized, so that's an important personal characteristic that I am looking for in a roommate. ZERO tolerance for failure to provide this essential requirement (sorry - but past roommates have caused failed to care for the shared living - and it's not going to happen again). Gender and ethnic background are NOT a factor. If you don't have reference from a previous landlord, church - or anyone that can speak on behalf of your character as a renter/roommate - I won't procedure with the idea that it would work out. Consideration may be given to those persons in special situations. |
