| LOCATION AND AMENITIES We have a room for rent in a new house in Waterways in the lower townsite of Fort McMurray just minutes away from all of the down town shopping: PeterPond Mall, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Superstore etc. From your bedroom window upstairs you can see the bus stop just 100 meters away from the front door. It is not only the Woosh transit that is used by the municipality, but also all of the buses that goes out to site use the same stop. We are the first stop on the downtown route so you can hop on the bus as it sits before it begins its route. Parking at the house is angle parking and off of the road and the length of the space takes a truck nicely. The images on Google Maps is from before the fire so they have nothing to do with what is actually on the ground now. INTERNET is the fastest that Telus has and TV is Optic Digital and you have your own flat screen in your room. It seems as if everyone has their own head gear and we all wander around with our media playing to our wireless headphones. COVID We have both had the flu because our job required us to work in environments that had a high turn over of employees. We had the flu back in late November and early December. Interestingly the lad that stays with us did not contract it while living with us. The house is immaculate. It is cleaned and disinfected daily. So with us having had it, you will not be picking up the virus from us and that makes the house a very safe environment if you are concerned about points of contact. THE HOUSE The house is new and well maintained. Downstairs in a separate suite with a separate entrance is my mother, she is a retired school teacher, and she comes up only to clean and do chores. On the next two floors is myself and one other married man and both of us work straight days. His wife is in Plamondon and my wife is in Russia so there is just the two of us in the house. I work out at site, the other works for the municipality and both of us work twelve hour shifts. You will find that often you are the only person in the house. There are two bathrooms upstairs and you will be sharing a bathroom with one person; he has been living here for quite some time and we can vouch for the fact that he is clean and tidy. I do believe that he showers at works so you are the only person that uses the shower at home. Your room has it's own mini fridge and there is a small spot in the kitchen fridge/ freezer too for your food. In addition to this you also have a cupboard in kitchen for your personal storage. The kitchen is very well equipped and it is always ship shape. RENT The rent for the room is $625 per month and there is an additional $25 in the winter for four months; it is to pay for plugging in your vehicle.
