Hi! My name is Avery and I am a 19 year old girl studying part-time business at SAIT, and working as a Wildlife Experience Host at the Calgary Zoo and at an escape room. I’m looking for someone to rent the second bedroom in my 2 bedroom basement suite in Marlborough Park for $1000/month. Damage deposit is $800. This will include EVERYTHING (kitchen stuff, wifi, all utilities, furniture in the main areas). This is a great suite with a separate entrance, new vinyl plank floors, stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), 2 large bright bedrooms with huge windows, brand new kitchen, family room and a full bathroom. It has in-suite laundry (no sharing with upstairs, and tons of storage space. The house is on a super quiet, safe, side street that is very convenient to the highway, Stony Trail or the airport. And street parking is readily available. Move in date is July 1st or later, no earlier. I’m not living in the place yet but it will be fully furnished with my beautiful, already owned furniture. Let me know if you require the bedroom to be furnished and we can arrange that for a fee. Home is close to Peter Lougheed Hospital, East Hills shopping centre (Costco etc), and has easy access to major roadways; Hwy 1, Stoney Tr, or Memorial Dr, bus routes, relatively close to C-train (bus or park & ride), and is only a 11km drive to downtown. The homeowner (upstairs) will be responsible for yard maintenance. Proof of employment and rental references are required. You will also need to show proof of tenant insurance for this unit as that is what the landlord requires of anyone living downstairs. It is really cheap (mine was $10/month through my car insurance company) to get either online or through whatever insurance company you use already. You must be willing to sign a one year lease which is non-negotiable and NO smokers please (even outside). I am a really social person but also like my privacy and quiet time. I have always been a night owl so I stay up pretty late sometimes, but I will be respectful and quiet during those hours. I love to draw, make jewelry, thrift, and game. You should be okay with having a couple people over and are welcome to as well, but NO parties. I would prefer either a student or someone working full time (not from home) and you must be neat and tidy (there will be a cleaning chart for main areas). Female preferred. I have a 7 year old cat named Monkey, who is very sweet and loves to cuddle and play. She doesn’t bite/scratch, sheds very little and is pretty nervous around new people, but warms up to anyone super quick! Unfortunately no other cats/dogs are allowed. The owners are a very nice couple who live upstairs; they have a small dog and no children. If it sounds like we would be a good match, send me a message with a short brief about yourself.
